Mino, who was just new to the puppy scene, couldn't remember the names of all the puppies he met. So Furrsky (Mino's friend at the time) jokingly said "Someday we'll make you a friend book for puppies."

Well, two days later the first draft of the “Kinky Freundebuch” was there. Back then it was very rudimentary but hey - it was a start. Mino used his knowledge of graphic design to design the book and Furrsky made the printing of the book possible through financial resources. The first version was printed and offered shortly afterwards. They ordered 20 books and quickly sold them within a short period of time.

The two of them were of course happy about this success, although financial motivation was never the main focus. Rather, it was Mino's enthusiasm for the medium and the desire to do something good for the scene and make people happy that drove him.

Mino then sat down at the PC again and started tinkering. He designed new pages, implemented feedback from buyers and friends, developed two characters and gave the book a nicer look with a new cover, lots of details on the pages and numerous background elements that made the book higher quality and more interesting and beautiful.

About 2 months later, he ceremoniously announced the next version of the book on his Instagram account - it would have more pages, cover more kinks, offer more options and have better print quality than its predecessor.

Unfortunately, fate threw a spanner in the works for both of them.

The new printing company delivered the books, but not in the hoped-for quality. Instead of 60 pages, the book only had half of them, it was riddled with printing errors, and the paper was glossy instead of matte. This was a real setback for the project.

A final post on Instagram shared Mino's disappointment over this fallout before things went quiet on the “Kinky Freundebuch” project.

The first downfall was followed by the next - the printing press didn't do its job and didn't deliver new books. Furrsky and Mino separated shortly afterwards. So there were no books, the legal situation was unclear and the tensions between all parties were evident everywhere. The project initially seemed lost.

Some time after the separation, Mino looked around again and discovered the two books he had invested so much energy in. This could not be the end.

He saw in this project his baby, who had taken many blows and was now lying on the ground. However, he would not just leave it there. Instead, he wanted to help it up and fight for it to walk again.

So he opened his programs again and started tinkering. This time the book got a new layout, a complete restructuring of the pages, new options, a new back cover, more special pages, adjusted colors, and a new printer that would actually print the book as intended. The project also got a new name, a new logo, and its own brand identity.

The “Kinky Freundebuch” became the “Kinkster’s Friendsbook” and is now continued with Furrsky's approval under Mino's sole leadership.

The two have made up after their separation and are now looking forward to the future of the project that once arose from their little joke.
